Your home loan deserves a second look.
What refinancing means.
Refinancing means replacing your current home loan with a different one, either with your existing lender or a new lender. The property stays the same. What may change is the rate, the features and the structure of the loan.
People refinance for different reasons: to access a more competitive rate, to use equity for renovations or a deposit, to consolidate other debts, to add features such as an offset account, or to review their lending as retirement approaches. A review looks at which, if any, of these is relevant to you.
The aim is not to chase the headline rate on a comparison website. It is to work out whether a change is worthwhile once fees, your remaining loan term and what you need the loan to do are taken into account. That assessment is where we help.

Questions about refinancing.
Is it worth refinancing right now?
It depends on your rate, your balance and how long you have left on your loan. If you have not reviewed your loan in the last few years, it may be worth a look. We’ll tell you clearly whether the potential saving outweighs the cost of switching, and if it does not, we will say so.
What does it cost to switch loans?
Switching can involve costs such as a discharge fee from your current lender and settlement or registration costs with the new lender. Some lenders may waive certain fees, but this varies. We set out the costs against the potential saving before you commit to anything.
Will refinancing affect my credit score?
A loan application results in a credit enquiry, which can temporarily affect your credit score. We lodge an application only once we are confident a lender is a suitable fit, so you are not submitting multiple applications.
How long does it take?
The timing varies between lenders. Many refinances take a few weeks once your documents are in. We manage the lender communication, the forms and the settlement, and keep you updated at each stage.
What if refinancing isn’t worth it for me?
Then we’ll tell you, and you keep your current loan. We recommend a change only when the figures and your circumstances support it. If they do not, you will usually know after one conversation, and there is no charge for finding out.
Comparison rate warning. Any interest rate shown on this site is indicative only and not an offer of credit. A comparison rate is a tool to help you identify the true cost of a loan. Comparison rates are based on a loan of $150,000 over a term of 25 years. WARNING: This comparison rate applies only to the example or examples given. Different amounts and terms will result in different comparison rates. Costs such as redraw fees or early repayment fees, and cost savings such as fee waivers, are not included in the comparison rate but may influence the cost of the loan. The actual comparison rate for any recommended product will be disclosed to you in full before you proceed.
Want to know more?
A conversation is a sensible place to start. We’ll look at your numbers personally and give you a clear view, whether that points to a change or to leaving your loan as it is.
